Position Responsibilities:
- New business generation and expansion of services to existing clients relationships.
- Prospecting, marketing and selling M&T Investment Group institutional products and services inside M&T Bank’s footprint within assigned Regions.  Institutional products include:  investment management (enhanced cash, equity/ fixed income separate accounts and balanced accounts / advisory services), employee benefits (defined benefit and contribution plans), and custody services. 
- Expansion of services to existing clients: Working closely with Relationship Managers and Portfolio Managers, responsible for growing relationships by establishing rapport with clients and consultants to uncover additional needs.
- Consistently develop a high level of profitable new business by marketing and selling a full range of institutional level financial products and services.  The Institutional scope includes, but is not limited to:  not-for-profit, corporations, endowments and foundations, public entities and pension plans. Development and delivery of effective sales presentations is critical. 
- Identify and cultivate relationships with targeted consultants and other external referral sources, as well as developing partnerships and internal referrals sources within M&T Bank.
- Cross sell all M&T Bank products and services.
Basic Skills Required:
- Bachelors Degree required.  Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years experience selling institutional products.
- Superior communication, presentation and sales skills.
- Results–oriented, ability to work independently to achieve sales goals.
- Ability to develop internal and external referral sources.
Ideal Skills:
- 5 years experience selling institutional investment management services.
- Proven track record of success selling institutional investment management products and services.
- Proven track record of success selling employee benefit services.
- Experience with marketing through consultants.
- Ready access to qualified prospects through previous experience and network of contacts.
